We all have been waiting for the 2018 JAMB Registration form and finally, it is here. The JAMB 2018/2019 Registration form was announced by the board of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)

As at now, there is no particular date regarding the commencement of the 2018/2019 JAMB Registration but from the news reaching us, the 2018 JAMB Form and exam date will be announced around November 2017, December 2017 or January 2018.
Hence, applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates for admissions into different Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education in Nigeria for the 2018/2019 Academic year.
N/B: JAMB recently has made it compulsory for all JAMB Candidates to create a JAMB Profile. No candidates will be able to Register for the 2018 JAMB without creating a JAMB Profile as all documents upload are done on JAMB Portal. The essence of the JAMB Profile is to enable you Apply and Register your JAMB and also to check your results and admission status.

2018 JAMB Registration Form Full Guide| How to Register for JAMB 2018/2019
- As an intending JAMB candidate, you must have a valid e-mail address or sign-up here and a mobile number e.g. Johnson@gmail.com and 08147092257. N/B: The system will reject the e-mail if it is already in use
- Each candidate must create a JAMB profile on the JAMB portal through JAMB Mobile App available on Android, Windows and iOS platforms OR visit a Bank, NIPOST to create his/her JAMB profile on the JAMB portal: www.jamb.org.ng Name, date of birth, personal e-mail address and place of origin are required to create the JAMB Profile.
- Payment for JAMB’s E-PIN-registration and the recommended reading text will be done at any Commercial bank and NIPOST. Banks have also agreed to make these services available at CBT centers and JAMB State Offices.
Each Candidate should visit any accredited CBT center with his/her personal details, the profile, and evidence of payment.
- The CBT center or JAMB State Office, supplies, at no extra cost, the prescribed reading text and the CD containing:
a) e-brochure showing guidelines on admission detailing list of tertiary institutions and available program of study.
b) Syllabus (e-syllabus) for the examination.
c) Step by step guide on completion of the application form.
d) Video messages from the Registrar of JAMB and a demo on how to use eight (8) keys for UTME examination without a mouse. (For candidates with little familiarity with Computers)
- Each JAMB Candidate is to complete the application form online by submitting the required details e.g. E-mail address, Academic qualifications, L.G.A etc.
- 10 fingers biometric and image will be captured at the CBT center
- O’Level and A’Level grades should be supplied by JAMB Candidate. Candidates whose results are not yet complete at the time of application should upload results as soon as the results are available to the JAMB Portal. No recommendations from any Institution will be considered by JAMB if the candidate has not supplied his/her O/L result on the portal of JAMB.
- Each Candidate is to collect his e-slip at the end of registration as evidence of registration.
JAMB 2018 General Entry Requirements
The general entry requirements for admission into the First Degree, National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID) and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programs in Universities, other Degree-Awarding Institutions, Mon technics, Polytechnics, Innovation, Enterprise Institutes and Colleges of Education are available in the e-Brochure which would be given to each Candidate at the accredited CBT centers and JAMB state offices.
Candidates with one of the following qualifications may be considered for admission by Direct Entry:
(a) A minimum of five (5) GCE/WASCE credits at not more than two sittings with at least two Principal or Advanced level G.C.E. and the others.
(b) Two passes at the IJMB Advanced Level Examination,
Cambridge moderated Schools of Basic Studies Terminal Examination, JUPEB or Institute of Baccalaureate from recognized institutions with SSCE/GCE, NTS/NBC credits equivalent in three other subjects (SUBJECT TO UNIVERSITY REQUIREMENTS).
(c) Passes in two major subjects in the NCE with S.S.C.E., NTC/NBC credits or equivalents in THREE other subjects (mainly for Education Courses) and ND. Education may be accepted as a third A’ Level subject for those taking courses in Education
(d) Minimum of lower credit grade in National Diploma or National Innovation Diploma including the O’Level requirements.
(e) Candidates are to note that they will be required to provide their JAMB registration number which they used in gaining admission to NCE, Diploma etc. for Direct Entry admission.
How much is the Jamb Registration Form for 2018/2019
The JAMB Registration Form for 2018/2019 has been estimated to be N5,500.00 However, they may changes to this amount later.

JAMB Order of Choice of Institutions
On the 2018 registration platform, Candidates are to note that their First choice can be a College of Education, University, Innovation Enterprise Institutes, Polytechnics/Mon technics, NDA (Nigerian Defence Academy) or Nigeria Police Academy
JAMB Registration Fee
The registration fee for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination or Direct Entry is Five Thousand Naira (₦5,000) only. Candidates are also, as usual, to pay Five Hundred Naira (₦500) only to obtain the reading text- “In Dependence” for UTME candidates and “The Last Days at Forcados High School” for Direct Entry Candidates.
Candidates should note that e-PINS being purchased are tied to individual profile and are not transferable.
N/B: Candidates are advised to keep as confidential their security details such as registration numbers, password/numbers of ATM Cards, e-mail addresses, and E-Pins.
How to know the course to Apply for During the JAMB 2018 Registration
A lot of people always make mistakes filling their JAMB Registration Form especially when choosing their JAMB Subject combinations, Ok but not to worry. 2018 JAMB Registration Cautions
Candidates are advised to read and understand the guidelines on admission and instructions on how to complete the online registration before commencing the process of registration.
Multiple registrations are not allowed. Candidates who register more than once will be identified and disqualified.
Candidates should note that their uploaded image or photograph will be embossed on their result slips and admission letters.
Candidates are to note that irrespective of their choice of course of study or method of testing, they will also be tested on a general text: “In Dependence” by Sarah Ladipo Manyika for UTME and “The Last Days at Forcados High School” by A.H. Mohammed for Direct Entry Candidates.
Candidates are warned that the Board has not authorized or solicited the services of ANY establishment/group or individual other than the accredited CBT centers for this registration exercise.
